Sup, Carlos the spig here. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's helped me with my fap-fic. From GG's highly technical analysis. (I've html'd the thread just because it's always a huge help whenever I'm in doubt.) To that Anon who suggested I make the story its own separate thing, rather than continue writing it as a fanfic.
I've basically taken everything into consideration and have made several changes accordingly during the full rewrite. Not because I felt like I had to, but because it made perfect sense. And with the privilege of hindsight, I genuinely felt like those changes were the better choice. With this, I'm taking Sven's lesson to heart, the one where he insisted he didn't wanted to replace my vision with his own.
That said, after pondering for the last two weeks. I've decided I won't be posting the story here.
I'm friends with several drawfags irl. And back then, we were willing to take the risk of posting the story hier because /mlpol/ was just badass. Right now tho, as much as it pains me to say it. This place is but a husk of what it used to be. And I'm a shit writer, but they do have talent and it would just be unfair from my part. Luckily, I didn't reveal much details from the story, so this is a perfect time to stop.

As to whether or not this place truly deserves as much of my time as I've given it I couldn't say, but I don't feel like it's been wasted. I wouldn't have gotten into the pony stuff at all if it hadn't been for this place, and while I've since ventured into some other pony enclaves, /mlpol/ will probably remain my home base until it finally goes belly-up for good. Plus, when I post my original writing here it actually gets read. I've tried to make incursions into 4chan's /fimfic/ thread a few times and I mostly get ignored.

If your story revolves around, or frequently features an specific character. You could try posting in the "x" character general in /mlp/. If they like it, they'll probably shill the story elsewhere and attract more readers.
As a sidenote, even tho /shadowbolts/ general is almost a dead thread, I was still able to garner quite a handful of reads with the first chapter.
There's also nhnb if you don't barbiefag.
